How to Preview, Publish & Update
Save as Draft
- When you create a new page, you will notice in the options toolbar at the bottom right corner that it is listed as "Save Draft."
- This means that only you can view this page.
- If your domain is already live, visitors will not be able to see this page while it remains in draft mode.
Publishing a Page
- To make the page publicly available, select the options on the right-hand side of the toolbar.
- A list of options will appear—select "Publish Page."
- Once published, the button will change to say "Update."
- This means that any future changes made to the page will need to be saved by selecting "Update."
Previewing the Page
- To see how the page will appear to visitors, select the "Preview" button next to "Update."
- This will open a new tab in your browser, displaying the page as it currently is.
Making and Saving Changes
- Scroll down to the section you want to modify.
- Use the block options to edit or remove content (e.g., deleting a section by selecting the trash can icon).
- Once you make any changes, the "Update" button will be highlighted, indicating unsaved changes.
- Save changes by selecting "Update" or using the shortcut key:
- Windows: Ctrl + S
- Mac: Command + S
- After updating, you can preview the page again to see the latest version.
Reverting to Draft
- If you want to remove the page from public view and revert it to draft mode, go to the options toolbar.
- Select "Options" and switch the page back to "Draft."
Following these steps ensures your website remains up-to-date while allowing you to control what is visible to visitors.
