💻 The Dashboard

💻 1.0 Workspaces

This feature, called Workspaces or Sub Accounts, allows you to organize clients into different areas, similar to folders.

It is especially important when working with multiple clients, as all team members invited to a sub account will have access to all the projects within that sub account. Invitations are made at the sub account level, not at the project level. You can rename or delete sub-accounts by hovering over one and choosing from the icons on the right side. However, you can only delete sub accounts that have no projects. This functionality helps with organization and allows you to separate personal projects from client work.

💻 1.1 Dashboard Overview

1. Workspaces / Sub Accounts: Organize your projects into sub-accounts, ideal for client management.

2. Team Members: Invite team members to collaborate on projects.

3. Account related options: Access profile settings and sign out.

4. Publishing options: Manage the publishing settings for your project.

5. Edit project: Launch the Netjet builder for the selected project.

6. Project title: Modify the project title directly.

7. Preview: View your project in a new browser tab.

8. Create a new project: Start a new project in Netjet Cloud.

💻 1.2 Projects

Projects are the main focus of Netjet. Each card on the platform represents a project. The term "projects" is used because in the future, users will be able to create different types of projects, such as Funnels, that can be embedded on external websites. Currently, users can create Websites & Landing Pages as well as External Popups & Alerts within Netjet Cloud.

💻 1.3 Team Members & Roles

You can invite team members to collaborate on projects. An email will be sent to the user you invite, and they need to click a link to accept the invite. If they don't have a Netjet account, they can create one for free.

The users will be invited based on roles that restrict their actions in Netjet Cloud.

The Owner has full control

The Editor role allows editing

The Viewer role allows viewing only

The Designer role allows design work

The Manager role allows access to all projects created in the sub account. It's best practice to have each client on a separate sub account if you don't want to give access to all your projects. The team members functionality is free for all plans, and you can invite unlimited team members.

💻 1.4 Leads

The Leads feature is closely connected to the Contact form. All contact forms submitted by users are stored in the Leads section of the project, regardless of whether marketing integrations like Mailchimp, Drip, etc., have been set up.

You can access Leads from here:

They will appear like this:

This is where the leads are stored when a contact form is placed on your Netjet page(s) and a visitor submits the form on your website.

If you have the PRO version with integrations, such as MailChimp, set up, the lead will be sent to MailChimp and also saved in your dashboard for future reference.

You can Export or Delete leads using the two buttons at the bottom.

Important: You can collect leads with the Free Netjet Cloud plan because it includes a free contact form. Only the marketing app integrations are limited to the contact form in PRO.

🌎 Hosting & Publishing

To implement the noindex tag, you can use our Code Injection feature to add the following meta tag to the section of your project:

If you specifically want to prevent only Google web crawlers from indexing the page, you can use the following meta tag:

🏗 4.8 Sitemap XML

An XML sitemap is a roadmap of your website that directs Google to all your important pages. XML sitemaps can be beneficial for SEO, as they enable Google to quickly locate your essential website pages.

Netjet automatically generates the sitemap XML file for every project, and you can access your project's sitemap at any time by visiting /sitemap.xml in your project.

For instance, if you have a custom domain linked to your Netjet project mydomain.com, you would access your sitemap XML at mydomain.com/sitemap.xml in your browser.

How to ensure Google finds your sitemap You don't need to take any action for Google to find your sitemap. We have placed it exactly where it needs to be for Google to discover it when it visits your website.

However, there is a way to expedite Google's discovery of your XML sitemap. You can add it to your Google Search Console account.

After creating an account, you need to add a website property and verify ownership before you can add your sitemap XML.

In the ‘Sitemaps’ section, you can add your sitemap XML URL /sitemap.xml.

⚙️ Settings

⚙️ 5.0 Site Identity

Having a title, description, and favicon for your website is essential for establishing its identity and ensuring a professional and polished appearance. The title serves as the first impression for visitors and is displayed prominently in search engine results and browser tabs. It should accurately and succinctly convey the purpose or main focus of your website. Additionally, including relevant keywords in the title can improve search engine optimization (SEO) and help users find your site more easily.

A well-crafted description provides a brief summary of your website's content and can also contribute to SEO by including relevant keywords and enticing users to click through from search engine results. This meta description is often displayed beneath the title in search engine listings, so it should be informative and engaging to encourage users to visit your site.

A favicon, also known as a site icon, is a small image that appears next to your website's title in browser tabs and bookmarks. This tiny graphic can greatly enhance the professional appearance of your site and make it more recognizable to users who have multiple tabs open. A well-designed favicon can also contribute to brand recognition and help users remember and return to your site.

By setting up these elements during the initial website creation process and periodically reviewing and updating them as needed, you can ensure that your site's identity remains consistent and appealing to visitors. Regularly checking and optimizing these features can contribute to a positive user experience and help your website stand out in search results and among competitors.

⚙️ 5.1 Social Sharing

Netjet provides you with the ability to customize how your page appears when shared on social media platforms such as Facebook. You can access these crucial options within the Netjet builder and configure the information that will be shown when your website is shared on various social platforms.

⚙️ 5.2 Code Injection & 3rd Party Scripts Embed

Use the Code Injection feature in Netjet Cloud to embed any external 3rd party scripts that need to run in the header or footer of your project. You can add Google Analytics, Google Tag, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, Payment services or any 3rd party service that requires script embeds. In Netjet Cloud you can inject code on 3 levels:

1. At the website level - this includes the injected code in the header and/or footer of all the pages of your website. You can access the Code Injection feature in any project in the Settings page on the Code Inject tab.

Based on the 3rd party service you want to embed, they might need to be included in the header or footer. You'll need to check with them how the services integrate. If you want to inject scripts in the 'head' tag on every page of your site copy paste the script in the Header area.

If you want to inject scripts in the 'footer' tag on every page of your site copy paste the script in the Footer area. Save your changes by pressing the Save Changes button.

2. At the page level - this includes the injected code in the header and/or footer only on a particular page.

3. Inside a page - this includes the injected code in the content of your pages. You can do that by copy/pasting the code in an Embed element. Drag the element on the page and paste the code into the Embed element. The Embed element understands JS & HTML.

⚙️ 5.3 Redirects

The Redirects section allows you to establish 301 permanent redirects from your old URLs to your new ones. This feature is intended for use in specific situations where you need to redirect a particular URL to a new one. There are two main reasons for using this feature:

1. When you migrate your current website to Netjet and need to set up redirects from old URLs to new URLs. 2. When you decide to change the URL of a page that has already been shared on social media or other places on the web.

Step 1: Access the Redirects section in the Settings window.

Step 2: Write your redirect rules like this

Put every redirect on a new line /old-URL [SPACE] /new-URL, here is an example for 3 different random redirects. Let's take /about-us /team rule. This means that yourdomain.com/about-us will be redirected to yourdomain.com/team.

Step 3: Click on the Save Changes button to save your modifications.

Please note:

1. If you transfer your website from your current hosting to Netjet, there is no need to set up redirects if you plan to recreate the same URLs in Netjet.

2. The redirects being set up are 301 permanent redirects, which ensures that all the SEO value from the old pages will be passed on to the new URL.

📝 Blogging

📝 6.0 Blogging Is Free

Our mission is to develop the initial free Cloud CMS. Blogging is the foundation of any reputable CMS, so the primary Netjet blogging functionality is available for FREE to all users and will be part of all Netjet accounts: Free and PRO. The more advanced features such as ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) and Assets Builder (Custom Post Builder) will only be included in the PRO version, but the main blogging functionality is free for everyone to use.

📝 6.1 How To Add Blog Posts

Adding new blog posts is a breeze. Simply create a new post and complete the predefined default fields: Title, Featured Image, and Excerpt. You also have the option to modify the permalink. Remember to publish the post and assign it to relevant blog categories.

📝 6.2 How To Create Blog Categories

Adding or modifying blog categories is a simple process. Navigate to Blog > Categories and make changes or create a new category. Once the ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) is implemented, you will have the ability to add or modify fields for the categories according to your preferences.

In our Asset Builder, all elements are considered assets, whether they are pages, blog posts, or categories. Additionally, you will have complete control over the fields within the Asset Builder.

📝 6.3 How To Work With Dynamic Content & Templates

Dynamic content allows you to display blog post fields dynamically on a page using dynamic elements. This feature is particularly useful when you need to manage multiple posts at once by creating templates.

Currently, there are 4 dynamic Netjet elements available:

1. Archive - used to create category post listings

2. Posts - used to create related posts blocks

3. Title - displays the title of the asset being worked on, such as a post, custom post, or page

4. Excerpt - shows the excerpt of the blog post or description of the page

Depending on the page being edited, some elements may not be displayed in the Elements panel. For example, if you are not working on a Category page, the Archive element will not appear, as it is closely associated with blog categories.

To create a template that can be applied to multiple posts or categories, you will need to utilize dynamic elements, global blocks, and display conditions. This approach allows you to seamlessly work with the builder by creating pages and templates simultaneously. Essentially, every page can function as a template based on the blocks and conditions present on that page.

In Netjet, all assets (such as blog posts, custom posts, categories, and pages) are treated as regular pages. This means that editing a blog category or post can be done directly within Netjet, just like any other asset. When creating a template, you simply add dynamic elements to a block, designate the block as global, and use display conditions to apply it to other categories, posts, or specific areas as needed.

🛠 Advanced Custom Fields & Assets

🛠 7.0 What Is Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)

The functionality of Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) enables you to modify or add content fields to your Netjet assets (posts or post types) and even create new assets (custom post types). These custom content fields allow you to expand the posts or pages in Netjet with the specific fields you require, providing greater control over your content and laying the foundation for intricate dynamic websites in Netjet CMS.

🛠 7.1 How To Create A New Asset (Custom Post Type)

Accessing the advanced custom field builder is simple and user-friendly. To get started, just open the Netjet CMS in the sidebar and navigate to Create Custom Assets within your project. In Netjet, the items such as Pages, Categories, Blogs, Popups, etc. displayed in the sidebar are referred to as Assets. When you create a new entry using the ACF builder, you are essentially creating a New Asset, which in the WordPress realm is known as a custom post type. Moving forward, the terms Assets, Collections, and Custom Post Types can be used interchangeably.

This is the place where you will create your new Assets (or Custom Post Type). In this example, I have made a new custom asset called Games.

In the initial section, you will provide basic asset information:

Asset Name (singular) – This is the singular form of your asset name. For instance, if you are creating a "Games" asset, you should enter "Game" here. This name is used in various locations within the Netjet CMS.

Asset Name (plural) – This is the plural form of your asset name. It will be displayed in the sidebar and throughout the Netjet Cloud CMS in different areas.

Asset Slug – This is the URL link for your assets as seen in the browser. For example, if you enter "Games" as the slug for our Games example, your URLs will have the following structure on the front end: yourdomain/game-name

Asset Type – This option allows you to specify whether your asset is a stand-alone (single asset) or a category (archive asset). In our "Games" example, this would be a Single type asset. If we were creating an asset to categorize other assets, such as "Genres" for our games, we would need to choose Archive as the asset type.

Asset Icon – Select an icon for your asset. This icon will be displayed in the sidebar once the new asset is created.

You will then specify the fields you want in your asset by adding fields from the bottom section. You have the option to choose from:

Text – a standard input field primarily used for text but also accepts numbers and special characters

Rich Text – a paragraph best suited for your asset's excerpt or description

Email – a field that only accepts email-formatted inputs like something@custom.com

Link – a field that only accepts URL links

Select – a dropdown select field

Image – an upload field for your asset's featured image, accepting only image extensions

Number – a field for entering numbers

Reference – used to link single assets with category assets in a one-on-one relation. For example, linking a single asset "Games" with a category asset "Developer" means one "Game" has only one "Developer".

Multi Reference – used to link single assets with category assets in a one-to-many relation. For example, linking a single asset "Games" with a category asset "Genres" means one "Game" can have multiple "Genres".

Clicking on any field will display the options for that field, allowing you to set the label, description, and placeholder. You can also choose whether the field is required or adjust limits based on each field.

Once you have clicked the Create & Continue button, the asset will be created and will appear in the sidebar. The custom post list will be empty as this is a new asset and does not have any entries yet.

To add a new post (a new Game in my case), you simply click the Add New button. You can then fill in your fields and add a new custom post. It's important to note that two fields, Asset Title (in my case Game Title) and Permalink, are added to every asset by default in Netjet CMS and cannot be modified.

🛠 7.2 The Custom Fields You Can Use In Your Assets

Leverage custom fields to incorporate fresh dynamic content into your Netjet website. You have the flexibility to modify existing assets by adding or removing fields, as well as the option to generate new assets. The custom fields available in the Netjet CMS include:

Text – an input field for text, numbers, and special characters

Rich Text – a paragraph for asset excerpts or descriptions

Email – a field for email addresses

Link – a field for URL links

Select – a dropdown select field

Image – an upload field for asset featured images, accepting only image extensions

Number – a field for numbers

Reference – used to link single assets with category assets in a one-on-one relation, such as linking a single asset "Games" with a category asset "Developer"

Multi Reference – used to link single assets with category assets in a one-to-many relation, such as linking a single asset "Games" with multiple "Genres"

Clicking on any field will bring up the options for that field, allowing you to set the label, description, and placeholder. You can also choose whether the field is required or change limits based on each field.

🛠 7.3 How To Edit Your Current Asset/Post Type

You can always return to modify your custom asset by clicking on the gear icon next to the asset name in the sidebar.

The Netjet custom fields builder will be brought in, allowing you to add new fields, edit existing ones, or delete the entire asset from the bottom right Delete link.

It is important to note that when you delete fields that are displayed on the front end, they will no longer be visible to your users.

By clicking on any field, you can access options such as setting the label, description, placeholder, and choosing whether the field is required or changing limits based on each field.

You can also include additional fields from the section located at the bottom:

Text – a standard input field primarily for text but also accepts numbers and special characters.

Rich Text – a paragraph field ideal for asset excerpts or descriptions.

Email – a field exclusively for email addresses in the format something@custom.com.

Link – a field for entering URL links.

Select – a dropdown selection field.

Image – an upload field for asset featured images, only accepts image file extensions.

Number – a field for entering numerical values.

Reference – used to link single assets with category assets in a one-on-one relation, such as linking a single asset "Games" with a category asset "Developer".

Multi Reference – used to link single assets with category assets in a one-to-many relation, such as linking a single asset "Games" with multiple "Genres".

🛠 7.4 How To Create & Link Categories (Taxonomies) Assets

Creating an asset that will be a category for another asset is very simple; you just create a new asset from scratch and select "Archive" in the Asset Type option. This will indicate to Netjet that this is an archive type / a taxonomy / a category asset.

We have introduced two new assets: "Developers" and "Genres" for our "Games" and filled them with a few developers and popular game genres.

The next step is to connect our "Games" with the "Developers" and "Genres". Access the Games custom asset by clicking on the gear icon next to the name in the sidebar and utilize the Reference or Multi Reference fields to associate your custom asset with your categories.

Reference is utilized to connect individual assets with category assets in a one-on-one relationship. For instance, it can link a single asset "Games" with a category asset "Developer". This one-on-one relationship ensures that one "Game" is associated with only one "Developer".

Multi Reference is utilized to connect individual assets with category assets in a one-to-many relationship. For instance, it can link a single asset "Games" with a category asset "Genres". This one-to-many relationship allows one "Game" to have multiple "Genres".

Remember to Save & Finish after making your changes.

With the references added for our Games, you will now be able to select the Developer and Genre for a new game.

This will assist you in organizing your dynamic data and generating dynamic Netjet pages for your Archive categories. With this, You can effortlessly generate a developer page that showcases (using the Archive element) all the games from a specific developer.

🛠 7.5 How To Display Your Custom Dynamic Content

Dynamic content allows you to dynamically display your custom post fields on a page using dynamic elements. It is particularly helpful when managing multiple posts at once by creating templates.

You can showcase your ACF fields in Netjet using dynamic elements such as Archive (for category post listings) and Posts (for related posts blocks). Alternatively, you can use regular elements that can be switched to a dynamic element from the "server" dynamic icon.

🛠 7.6 How To Create Page Templates That Apply Across Your Website

The typical method of working with templates in most CMS’s involves adding content to a post and setting the templates in a separate template section. This can be difficult to understand and manage, and creates a disconnect between editing regular pages and working with dynamic content and templates.

In Netjet CMS, all assets (blog posts, custom posts, categories, pages) are treated as regular pages. This means that editing a blog category or post is done in the same way as editing any other asset using Netjet.

To create a template, you simply drag dynamic elements into a block, set the block as global, and use display conditions to apply it across other categories or posts.

📲 Web Stories

📲 8.0 What Are Web Stories?

Netjet Stories are mobile visual narratives that offer a unique content consumption experience. This visual format allows users to explore content by sliding from one piece of content to the next.

Whether you are a content creator, marketer, or selling products, web stories can help you creatively present news, create a mobile landing page with a natural funnel, or showcase your products in an appealing way.

Here are a few ways Netjet Web Stories can benefit marketers, content creators, and shop owners:

Marketers - Present offers and promotions: Engagingly presenting a promo can grab potential customers' attention, generate more leads, and increase conversion.

Mobile landing pages: Web stories are perfect for landing pages because they have a natural funnel interaction from slide to slide, allowing you to present and structure information deliberately, thus increasing leads and ultimately conversion.

Content Creators - Posts as short web stories: Deliver the news or an excerpt in a quick, easy-to-digest web story.

Content previews: Use web stories to capture interest for your larger-sized content or blog post and bring users over via a call to action button once they are interested in reading the whole story.

How-to guides: Web stories work great for how-to guides, where you can present each step of the process in a separate slide in the story. - Lists or Tops: Anything that works great in lists or tops will be a great fit for web stories.

Shop Owners - Product previews/showcase: Influence buying decisions with web stories by creating interactive, virtual, and clickable product showcases.

Client follow-up: Use the contact form to ask for testimonials or do follow-ups with your clients in a creative way via a nice web story.

📲 8.1 How To Create A New Web Story

There are two methods for creating web stories in Netjet:

1) You can create a stand-alone story project directly from the Netjet dashboard. The stand-alone web story can be published in the same way as a regular website.

You can link a custom domain to it, use a free subdomain using our netjet.pro domain, connect to 3rd-party free hosting providers via Github, use our script to sync pages to your server, or download the HTML.

2) You can create a web story inside a Netjet website. Within the project, the web story will have its permalink similar to any page on your website.

📲 8.2 The Web Story Builder

The Stories Builder is a modified version of the Netjet builder, designed specifically for creating web stories on a mobile resolution. The grid has been eliminated, allowing elements to be freely moved and repositioned on the canvas, providing a Sketch or Photoshop-like experience. Additionally, the elements have been streamlined and optimized to better suit the creation of interactive narratives.

📲 8.3 Premade Stories Design

When you initiate a new story, you can begin from the beginning and construct each slide in the familiar Netjet way. Additionally, you have the choice to utilize one of our stunning pre-designed templates. To access the story templates, simply add a new slide in your story. Some templates are available for free, while others require Netjet PRO for use.

Remember: You have the option to combine and use slides from various stories.

🔀 9.2 Webhooks

According to Wikipedia, a webhook in web development is a method of customizing the behavior of a web page or web application with custom callbacks. These callbacks can be managed by third-party users and developers who may not be affiliated with the originating website or application.

There are two ways for apps to communicate for information: polling and webhooks. Polling involves requesting information from the app every time, while webhooks automatically send information to a specific URL when it's available. Webhooks are automated messages containing an information payload sent from Netjet Cloud when something happens. They are sent to a unique URL that you can set up.

Webhooks are simpler than APIs, which are a full language for an app with functions or calls to add, edit, and retrieve data. With an API, you have to do the work yourself. In contrast, webhooks are for one specific part of an app and are automated, creating a simple, one-to-one connection.

In Netjet, webhooks are offered for all your Assets, including custom Assets.

And Actions on Create, Update and Delete

This implies that whenever the [Asset] (Page, Blog, etc) undergoes the [Action] (Creation, Update, Deletion), a payload containing all the details for that particular Asset is automatically dispatched to your chosen custom URL.

The transmitted information is authenticated, and you can locate the key on the Webhooks listing page.

This signature ID is used to verify and validate that the data originates from us.
